All parents want their kids to have a promising future. To make that happen, a good education is essential. If only public schools gave every child an equal opportunity — but they don’t. We can’t change that overnight, but we can help you give your children the educational opportunities they deserve.

Your part. Your kids look to you for guidance, a good example, and support. And CPE looks to you for the same things! We know your influence is critical to their success. That’s why it’s essential for you to participate fully during your child’s four years with CPE.

First, you’ll help your student complete applications to CPE and to our partner schools (private schools or KIPP DC: College Prep Charter High School). Then you will interview with CPE together. Once admitted to the program, you will be invited to academic support and enrichment events that CPE hosts each school year — college prep workshops, community service, and social gatherings.

How we help. CPE staff will also contact you regularly as we monitor your student’s academic success and college planning. We will be here to work with you along the way and help you support your child to achieve the dream of going to college. And we will share your pride at every milestone!
