Mentor Resources

CPE makes it easy for mentors to connect with their students at hosted events, from college preparatory sessions and community service to recreational activities. Mentors are encouraged to do a range of activities with their mentees – go for bike rides, attend sporting and cultural events, volunteer together, join or start a book club – the possibilities are endless!

You are never alone! CPE ensures that all mentors are supported throughout their relationship with their mentee. Each pair is assigned a Student-Mentor Coordinator who will work with you throughout the relationship to provide feedback, support, resources, ideas, encouragement, and problem solving strategies. Mentors get additional support through ongoing training, monthly tips and tools for successful relationships, opportunities for mentor to mentor interaction, a Mentor-only Facebook page, and CPE’s Mentor Committee..

Mentor Committee

CPE’s Mentor Committee is a diverse group of energized and involved current, prospective, and former CPE mentors who are all are committed to the success of CPE’s students and are willing to be active participants in Mentor Committee’s efforts to support mentor recruitment, mentor engagement, and mentor appreciation.  The Mentor Committee meets monthly to develop initiatives to support CPE’s Mentor Program including our recent “Mentoring Kickoff” happy hour and our annual “Back to School Bash.”  Both events were a huge success due to the planning and dedication of our Mentor Committee.  The Committee will focus its efforts this year on providing mentors with more opportunities for mentor-mentee activities and interaction with other mentors within the CPE community.
