Development Associate (Part-Time)
The Development Associate will work closely with CPE’s Deputy Director to manage, implement and expand activities relating to foundation and corporate fundraising. He/She will prepare foundation and corporate grant proposals and reports. The Development Associate will maintain a calendar that identifies and tracks proposal deadlines, grant reporting deadlines.

Evaluation and Research Intern
This individual will be responsible for database management, data collection, data analytics and evaluation research. He/she will support the organization on evaluation of key program components and the development of a new evaluation framework. The intern will work on different primary data collection methods designed around case management including surveys and focus groups. The intern will serve in an advisory capacity on the evaluation and communication of CPE programming. Responsibilities include day to day interface with team members and key stakeholders.

Development Intern
The Development Intern will work closely with CPE’s Deputy Director to manage, implement and expand all activities relating to fundraising, donor stewardship, marketing, communications and special events.  Responsibilities include: conducting grant and prospective donor research; donor recognition correspondence; assisting in the development and production of all CPE communication materials; managing social media accounts for the organization; and providing administrative support to the Deputy Director as needed. 

Qualifications

  • Interest in working at a non-profit and serving low-income youth in the DC Metropolitan Area
  • Interest in nonprofit fundraising, communications, and organizational management
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a small, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Friendly and personable demeanor
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications

Program Intern
The Program Intern will provide programming and administrative support for the organization, especially in the field of admissions, outreach and communications. Responsibilities include: assisting with the new student orientation, preparing for the upcoming admissions season, providing support with the planning and implementation of CPE program events, office management, and other general administrative support.  CPE is seeking a personable, highly-organized, and dynamic individual who will be able to help CPE further expand its program and meet its mission of helping low-income high school students achieve their dreams of going to college.

  • Dedication to providing educational opportunities for urban, low-income youth
  • Interest in working at a non-profit organization
  • Excellent written, oral, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a small, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Friendly and personable demeanor
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in an organized manner
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office applications
  • Spanish proficiency a plus

General information:

  • Both internships can be full or part-time depending on intern availability.
  • The internship is paid for Georgetown University and GW University work-study students. Otherwise it is unpaid,
    but you may receive college credit if your institution allows.
    A travel stipend is also included.
