Capital Partners for Education knows what it takes to overcome the particular challenges low-income and often first-generation-to-college students face to achieve the dream of a college education – and a brighter future.

Our results are extraordinary, given the odds for many CPE students.  Since 1993, 99% of CPE students, all from low-income families, have enrolled in college.  And of those who attend college, nearly three quarters of them obtain degrees.  Compare this to the 8.3% of students nationally from low-income families who earn a bachelor’s degree.  In the poorest DC neighborhood’s, where many CPE students live, that number is closer to 5%.

CPE is growing and thriving! Please consider supporting our efforts. Here is what our partners have to say:

“CPE’s impact on our students has been tremendous.  The much needed scholarship funds secure school opportunities that our students might have to pass up because of financial constraints.  The support and guidance provided by the mentors is invaluable.  CPE does a wonderful job of matching our students with mentors who understand their needs and are extremely invested in their success.”

Jessica Cunningham, Chief Academic Officer, KIPP DC

“The dedication, support and commitment that CPE has provided to the community in the DC  metropolitan area is unmatched. With each and every student, the CPE staff is available, supportive and constantly monitoring the student’s progress, problems, and providing endless solutions.”

Halleluya Samuel, The Good Life University, CPE Mentor and Financial Literacy Instructor

“Our students have learned valuable lessons by being involved with CPE and will give back to the community in ways that will be immeasurable and well worth the investment. Our school is stronger because of the relationship we’ve developed with CPE and look forward to an even stronger partnership in the future as we work to make a quality education available to a deserving community of students.”

Marcus Washington, Headmaster, Washington Jesuit Academy
