Who Qualifies?
Students who are eligible to enroll in the Capital Partners for Education program beginning with the 2008-2009 school year must meet the following criteria:
- They will enter the 9th grade in September 2008
- They intend to enroll in a private high school
- They do not currently attend a private high school
- They are legal U.S. residents
- Their household income is less than or near the income requirements for the Federal Government reduced lunch program (see Income Eligibility Chart below)
- They reside in the Washington metropolitan area (DC, MD)
- They agree to actively participate in all components of the CPE program including mentoring and enrichment activities

Application Process
The CPE application process runs each year from November to May. The application for students entering 9th grade in September 2008 is currently available online. The application deadline is March 3, 2008. In order to be considered for a scholarship, students must:
- apply to a partner private high school on their own
- complete a CPE application form
- submit recommendation forms, grade reports, and two proofs of family income
- write a personal essay
- interview with CPE
- agree to comply with CPE program rules and policies
